fucking rur-urban hipsters, two pages of posts about checkens. If you lived in the back-of beyond like michigan you'd not think much about chickens. People been growing them in their backyards here forever. But are we cool?? NO, you're cool, and we're a bunch of boho smucks. I hate you so much. Don't expect that chicken in your yard is going to make you the next thing now that boldering and fixed-gear bikes is passe.

Two pages is only the beginning.

My circular saw is single speed, but my bike has 18. I sense some poultry related jealousy in your post. Were you denied a pet chicken in between the alcohol fueled family beatings that your father administered throughout your childhood? The frigid north can really take a toll on people.

Shut up about what you don't know. My friend Farmer John, just got 500 meat chicks last week, runs 400 egg birds, raises heirloom turkeys and sells at the farmer's market. http://www.harnoisfarms.com/ I know chickens, and saying that, I can tell you there is nothing to know about chickens.

no alcohol necessary for family beatdowns, but if memory serves, porchie was scared of the chickens we had wayback in the day.

I have a cush job. I don't need to move. Living in obscurity is the price.

no ... fact. if level of comfort helps to make life "easier," which i feel it does, lack of winter is a goood thing. loving cali right about now. 65 degrees all of the days.

I'm deleteing all my posts from this thread. I cracked my ribs last week and am feeling very low.

It's fine if people want to grow chickens and live in warm places and use macintoshes and be happy

Really. I wish that such simple things could make me happy.

That flirts with the Hegelian dialectic: "same in difference; different in sameness."

Or the old Texan dialectic of "six of one; half dozen of the other."
