Notice in this photo where the "Kentucky limestone filtered water" is shown on the label as a marketing selling point, due to it's perceived value among the target market (redneck drunks.) Please show me where any product is marketed as "filtered through sand!" to move units.

There is no inherent (generalized) improvement in water filtered through either sandstone or limestone. It entirely depends on that nature of the specific rock in question. You need to look at how fractured the rock in question is, how porous it is, and how long it takes groundwater to migrate through the rock. This will give you an idea of the resulting purity of the filtered water.

In addition, in most cases water filtered through sandstone is also hard like water filtered through limestone.
