Invalid. You couldn't find the boldering in Icicle creek and you didn't go 2.5 hours north. Kix can testify.

this thread sucks

and the amount of information confusing leavenworth for index is misleading

index fucking rox

as long as you're into severe alcoholism, drinking with hobos underneath the bridge into index, solid granite all over the place, and crystal meth.

and if you know the right people some solid chronic

p.s. drater, interested in visitors?

I have to admit .. even the better areas in NE like western mass are seriously limited. And they are still subject to the same shitty weather patterns as the rest of the NE.

Almost everyone I know that is .. I don't know how to say this without sounding like a doosh .. a certain type of boulderer, has basically quit bouldering and starting looking for something else to occupy their time. It's a damn shame really. Once you get to a certain age, 7 to 10 hr road trips to climb every weekend, become too much of a pain in the ass.

dude, actually the oposite. The strongest and most dedicated boulderers I know. My good friend and regular climbing partner is a solid v13/14 boulderer and 5.14 route climber, but seriously .. what the hell is there for him to climb on the east coast without driving hundreds of miles every weekend?? Between PA and NY there is literally a handful of climbs v12 and harder, and really, when you need a project, picking a boulder simply because its the only one that is challenging kind of sucks.

there is so much good granite between highway 20 and highway 2 new boulders are literally popping out of the ground with some regularity

there is so much good granite popping out of the ground with enough regularity that it literally kills people

and this is totally leaving out the innumerable erratic zones on either side of the cascades

so yeah, stay away.

not to mention you probably won't even be able to get into the state as the rocks will probably have blocked your way.
