Nope. I've destroyed too many of the things. Without a frame for the high stress points you'll start tearing the plastic and banging out any attachment points with use. You can put this off for a while with washers, etc, but it'll happen regardless. If you're going to waste your time building something, build something awesome.

Fucking birders. No knowledge of engineering.

what about just chopping off the drops and still having the hoods? anyone ever seen something like that? or would it look truncated?

one really off the wall asian dude track rider rode a single speed all winter long in thunder bay. true story. he said it gave him better traction and control through snow.
