Saw a guy on the street shooting large format this morning. He appeared "in the moment" and thus I did not interrupt and ask questions. A few of the art shows in Chicago this past summer featured large format photography. One guy did mainly scenes of nature whereas another did long exposure night shots of alleys and various other quiet city scapes. Neat stuff, for sure.

thx. boyfriend is a nature photog and gave me a digi slr to use indefinitely. i pretty much quit climbing (no climbing in phx and i can't afford a gym membership) but we go backpacking and canyoneering (with many pounds of camera gear) and have a lot of good opportunities for photos.

we had our 'official' wedding photos taken like this. neat guy, old head, friend of the family and student of mr adams. the photos turned out looking like a ukranian wedding. everybody lined up. all very serious. the look of years of commitment coming up.

the best photo was taken with a digital point and shoot.

Not mine, collaborations.

Though a step up in your critique.

You've gone a log way since

"you're so pretty, but I hate your photos!"

Im the winged emo one, and the graspy hands.

What about that pic I posted?

Does it not capture both the soaring grace of the human form in motion, but also truly capture those beautiful, ephemeral moments that only seem to happen as the Arizona sun strikes the rock just-so in the waning moments of daylight?

Guys?Anyone?

I will be trying to capture the smokey grace of another pork butt before it soars into my heavenly belly midway through tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Burning lump... Smokey Smokey.

good because she's using a sweet camera (a.k.a. the "merrick effect")
