She just killed it and left the body as evidence. No way will we eat her, she was our favorite chicken.

what i think is that the other chickens - having seen you treat fluffykins like the "house chicken" - well, all the ordinary yardbirds ganged up on fluffykins and killed her out of spite.
made it look like the butler did it,
so to speak.
you know you shouldn't have let that chicken in to your home,
but she was so, so, fluffy - and cute in that little outfit!

Well, that was the basement...Slim let the rooster IN the house while I was asleep. Why didn't they off the rooster? Would have made things a lot easier for us.
