just hard swerve to the left with a power slide and an almost equally hard swerve to the right to avoid going down (still not sure how i didn't go down). all instinct, heart rate didn't even go up until 15 seconds later, then it maxed out...

I picked Andy for my TdF fantasy team. Woo hoo!

I wonder who the Schlecks are going to race for next year.

I will root for lance and levi but i think Andy has the best shot.. though he kinda shot himself in the foot a bit today with a rough prologue

Hincapie isn't even close to being in Cadel's league... you know that right? Even juiced up on the best gear Lance's money could buy, Hincapie has never finished in the top 10 of the GC at the TdF - Cadel has finished outside the top 8 only once. I'm just hoping that Hincapie doesn't suck as much as Popovych did in 2008.

I think this may be the first year that there's been more Australians in the Tour than Americans? As far as I can see there are 7 Americans, while 11 Australians started (one is already out with a broken collarbone). I'm not sure what that's significant of, other than that it's clearly Cadel's year.

lol arguing numbers doesn't make Cadel any better. I'm sure the number for US drops more because I bet Tyler will drop out tomorrow. Talk about carnage. I hope tomorrow isn't worse. It is weird because the Frenchie TdF site shows 12 guys starting from Australia and I read something else that said 18 were supposed to start. Any idea what happened?

I would be super psyched if Cadel gets pissed and punches Alberto in the face during the race.

I was just pointing out that Vande Velde was out. It's a pity for him, he's done well the last couple of years. I know that one Australian broke his collarbone on stage 1, and he's out. No idea about the others. To be honest I've only ever heard of Evans, Rogers, McEwen, O'Grady and Gerrans, so I've got absolutely no idea who the other 13 would be.

best line from paul ever yesterday, "looks like the rider is looking for service from the rear"

honestly though, those two are the best team of commentators ever.
