I had to carry my track bike so many times last year due to wheel seizures. Now I'll be SS with discs by winter on a junk wheelset and will invest in some Stan's tubeless wheels laced to hope hubs and a 105 group come spring. Should get her down to 17lbs. Group rides, cross races, commuting... all good. Beavertail seatpost fender is fine.

Fenders died last winter. So fun. Clip on ever since. Shoes so, so wet. New bikes coming...

2012 Specialized Crux Disc. Not a bad ride for $500. White Industries Hubs with rear eccentric, and freewheel (REEEEEEEEE!!!), laced to pos mtb rims for winter.
Summer will go geared with a 105 group and some light disc wheelsets. Psyched!

nice price. Also beavertail win.

Love me some craigslist. Brand new cinder cone with dual disc for $225. Should take my recon missions to the next level, stoked

City Slicker slicks if there is nothing loose on the ground.

Smokes are kind of opposite urban tires, paddle wheels for loose dirt. Classic Tires though.

I see no reason not to go big with slicks, volume so you can drop further.

Rode 15 miles of brilliant single track at Kingdom Trails in the northeast kingdom yesterday. First visit there. Absolutely brilliant.

I'm not gonna lie. I got a little phased and bought a pair of Conti Traffics. The whole fender thing makes me want to go full commuter retard. I'm keeping the rack and thinking of Ortliebs and if my triggershifters will work on mustache bars. Kill me now.

I was wrong. I bought Schwalbe Black Jacks. They are OK so far, low rolling resistance and a fairly aggressive tread.

Apparently Hope is the new King. Now let's see if they spin for literal decades without needing to be serviced. Doubt it.

Kept tearing out my sidewalls. The reinforced trail kings are the shit and the CK headsets let you ride wheelies no handed down singletrack while drinking beer and instagramming.
