actually surprised there aren't more conspiracists yacking yet. shot dead, confirmed by DNA, and then body disposed of, unseen by the 'merican public? rumor has it trump is demanding to see the death certificate.

all that aside, was happy to wake up to this this morning. even if it is just symbolic.

I'd like if everyone was calling me a "mastermind", I mean, if I wasn't dead of course.

It's unfortunate that they still believe that this means something to the American public. It was never about terrorism, it was about finding a way to get 'mericans to allow government backed oil companies to use OUR money, to obtain a product that they intended to sell back to us at 4x it's original value. Ponzi scheme doesn't even begin to cover it.

Oh sure... Think for yourself and ignore what FOX tells us. Obviously we are safe now that the "OSAMANATOR" has been killed.

Who is the new champion? After ten years we need some new blood...

He probably choked on a chicken bone, slipped in the shower, or something equally lame.

Or maybe Obama really did kill him.

the usa- trying to make itself frightening. sometimes it works.

a bit of nobility please, last superpower. in the trailing days of power there's a remote chance of creating some kind of legacy, some remembrances of good times past, i.e. in the form of institutions, laws, colour photographs, etc.. something to think about

it would have been more courageous to bring him to trial. his wives should be freed.

With the guantanmo bay bullshit about trials and GW Bush failing so miserably for 7 years to 'catch' bin Laden, is it really any surprise Obama made the call he did?

I mean, he got shut out by the GOP trying to legally try terrrerists at g-bay. This would have put our basically illegal off-country gulag in the international spotlight. At least this way we get to off the dude and blame pakistan, without looking like the unprepared d-bags we are. Win-win-win?!?!?

in terms of domestic politics, totally, this was an easy choice for obama to assassinate the criminal. more heroic seeming, more manageable, quicker and straight to the ratings. but in terms of what would have been right, the eichmann comparison is apt. it wouldn;'t work through the ICC for a number of reasons, but a special tribunal out of the hague could do. really, this could have been done right 10 years ago, with extradition offers from elements of the taliban. that way would serve to strengthen moderate elements on all sides and create a more enduring justice. extrajudicial killings do the opposite, making justice the prerogative of power.

Well yeh, we all could have done stuff different years ago with different and possibly better outcomes.

Isn't that just the way it always is though?
