Who still climbs?

I barely remember how to boulder between knee injury and COVID.

Also, niceporch sucks.

We are currently gymless so just have basement workouts. Hard to motivate to climb when we had to cancel trips to Font and Rocklands this year.

I don't even remember how to use features on this forum anymore. I should see if I still have admin privileges so I can ban everyone.

Hmm.. I haven't climbed in a while, but feel the urge sometimes. I miss the friendships and camaraderie... Sure is odd getting old, lol.

Haven’t really climbed in almost three years, but I’m still telling myself I’m rehabbing and not an ex-climber.

Effed my right knee and hip during an epic a few years ago, and it took about two years to get them okay again. And I also took on a time intensive job a couple years ago (more robots) that hasn’t slowed down since I’ve been able to move again, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for a road trip after my current project is finished / goes out for testing.

I miss hanging out with climbers. But N Texas gym climbers are even more douche than they were 20 years ago, so I’m looking to build a home wall soon.

I know, right? I’m ready to live in a cabin on the side of a mountain again.

It's true. We are also quick to tell you about the time we had to drink filthy water out of a hoofprint.

Every once in a while (like once a year maybe) with the kids, either in a gym or in Bleau on our way to surf in S France. That's more my thing now: surfing. Actually, surfing and painting (yes, I am that vanilla).

LOL, wish I knew! Hope you had a good time anyway ;-)

Surfing in France is cool but surfing in the N of Spain, that's where it's at IMHO.

I sent the fuck out of some corporate ladders.

I'm an "industry expert" in risk management.

It may be 15 or so years since I've logged in here. Maybe I'll start climbing again after I stop drinking.

Sadly, at 40+ I just spent a half hour shoveling and sweeping off a top out in hopes of finishing off a 2 season project. Definitely thought I’d be smarter by now.

Another fun thing about getting old; anyone else see people that seem familiar (eg, ET at the local game last night), only realize it’s someone that looks like said acquaintance…20 years ago? Fun stuff.
