I live close enough that I could piss across the border if I tried hard enough. There are days I consider making a run for the border through the trees.

i am not encouraging, but there is a guest house, a few outdoor bouldering walls, a clear water creek, and a relatively accommodating civil society across the border if you need/want to escape.

My only hope is that I'm able to get to the Yukon when the shit hits the fan. Having a Canadian wife (and a son who should be getting his Canadian citizenship soon) should help with the red tape.
