I think the list is ok. Some wierd shit got included, and some uberclassics got left out.

it;s a bit of a stretch to put hell's belly as the best problem at big bend. maybe the most improbable, the most modern, hard for sure, but it's a squeeze problem. bit of a circus trick really. nothing wrong with circus tricks, in that they invite out the freaks, but purity of purpose counts too.

If ride the lightening is in the top ten, I'm much happier about my climbing experiences.

so, what they did @ UC was a pretty good first attempt.

i say that what they should have done was asked all their readers to submit a list of the 10 best problems they have ever done - and from that list - come up with the 100 best problems.

would be more realistic.

seriously dude. Carlo got like 3 first ascents on the list that brand are new and have only seen 1 if any, repeats. Total classic.

makes no sense. its like some doosh biship/co fanboy made the list, and threw darts at a hueco guide to keep it "diverse".

i didn't analyze any data, the sole purpose of my post was to insult the author (who was??? even missed that data point) based off a quick speed read of the "article".

No it wouldn't. It would reflect the mags distribution. And then you'd actually have to read all those submissions instead of sitting around getting drunk and pulling problems out your ass. Who the hell wants to do that?

What they should have done is sandbagged the hell out of people who care about these kinds of lists and sent them on the "Best Roadtrip Ever" to Grand Ledge.
