Whoah, I need some help.

I hooked up Comcast Business Premium with promises that I could send 1000 emails in bcc at 10mb a piece in one shot. Now after talking to some dumbass rep, they have told me that they have a cap and the cap could not be removed and that I'd need my own server to send this quantity of e-mails at once.

Does anyone know how to get around this dilemma? I'm a neophyte to this sort of thing as I'm trying to help my father's business, but have no idea as to how to do this.

Do you have that promise in writing? Sending a gig of emails in 1 go seems like it would be somewhat serious business.

If all else fails, do them in batches.

Have you looked into using mail services such as Constant Contact?

Why are you sending 10mb emails in the first place? Thats HUGE. Emails should be small in size and to the point. Link to any info that would cause your message it expand i size.

Also, Im with pmahn. Go with a email newsletter service, it will make your life way easier. I use myemma.com

Is it unfeasible to send the email with a link to a server that holds the file for download? I realize not everyone who touches a computer is savvy enough for this, I know my parents would struggle. But this seems a much more reliable way to get a large file to a bunch of people rather than trying to have it drop in everyone's email.

Won't lots of email servers not accept 10mb files?

IMO you should just use mailchimp.com. 1000 emails a month = $15.
Put your large content up on a CDN, and link/embed to it from the email.

Probably a cheaper, more stable solution.

Well, most of the files are under 5-7 mb, but some are larger depending on whether it's a weekly report or a 50 page article with pictures and video.
