the weird thing about finding info on index, wa is that whenever you search for it on a forum you find nothing but filename results. index.php index.html .. i'm lazy and don't bother with advanced searches i admit. still, it makes it kinda cryptic and i wanna know more. it's half way between gold bar and lworth, and land is kinda cheap. where's the bouldering in index?

sketchy bouldering below the town walls.
summer bouldering in the river bed, one mile west of bridge, north side.

decent bouldering in icicle creek canyon, just not a lot of it. plenty of untapped alpine bouldering up in the enchantments, but it hella an approach.
great cragging and alpine rockclimbing town, but it'll never be a bouldering destination.

just sayin'. it ain't hueco, it ain't LCC, it ain't the horn, it ain't woodson, it ain't bishop, it ain't yosemite, it ain't joes, hell it ain't even rumney. it'll never be a place that boulderers move to for the bouldering. now if you enjoy alpine rock climbing in the wilderness, like, say, prusik peak, it's money fo sho.

oh good idea pander, buy land in the northwest for bouldering. it NEVER RAINS THERE. might as well live in the northeast.

lived within spitting distance of every bouldering area in the PNW for five years. Kix was there for god knows how long. We both got the fuck out of there and now reside in NAZ.
There's a cautionary tale in there somewhere...two wrongs don't make a right?

Lived in both.
No comparison.
NE is crowded and filled with Massholes and weekenders and half the bouldering is on private land but even so it's better than the PNW bouldering.
I'd rather live in the PNW - but doesn't mean the climbing is good.
