I was attacked by kamikaze embers. I've read two opinions. One, tape. Two, needle and thread. I assume tape is the best.

What's the good word here?

Patch kits or sail repair tape. Duct tape is a temporary fix. Don't waste your time stitching. And clean the spot before you tape it.

I repaired holes in my NorthFace and my booties with needle and thread. Tape kept falling off. Works. I like the idea of a sail patch much better with the nylon.

You could probably sew the holes then cover any "unsightly" thread with sail patch. It's a good thing.

Just buy yourself a new one... Duct tape is for homeless climbers living out of their VW bus. Oh, right....

if the holes are small enough crazy glue or nail polish both work.

GoreTex repair tape.

Nothing but name brand for me.

Yeh, but porch... my senseless repairs use the cutting edge technology and cost way more than comparable analog patches.

Plus, any rain that falls on that part of the coat is shed. So if I get holes all over, I will have a parka. Duh.

I see the only valid fix is to wrap my entire coat in GoreText.

Duct tape. Unless of course you subscribe to Urban Climber, then do whatever makes you bling.
