I may or may not need to ask you direct questions so I don't melt things.

I'm crafting something neat!

Maybe.

it's called a "voltmeter". you've prolly heard it called a "vOliTRometeriZorZ!!" same thing.

hopefully you die worse than someone in an electric chair, tho i'd rather see you .. buried up to your neck and trampled by wild donkeys.

You know, its misinformation like this that is making giving the Interweb a bad name.

Blue wire, dude. Always cut the blue. Don't even think about cutting the green.

tame donkeys would yield a slower and arguably more entertaining death trample. especially if the donkeys were getting blown by dirty mexican slutz

don't talk about pmun's mom that way. it's not nice.

so p-p, you get your electrical issue resolved? it's not nice to keep us all in suspense with your minor perdicaments..

i got shocked on a tower at 250ft last week. felt like someone was trying to suck my eyeball out with a shopvac.

that could have gotten worse. how'd that happen?

i was standing near the top of a 12' "A" frame trying to install a practical light fixture on a movie set when i got a little 110 zap.

somehow i didn't fall off, or drop anything, but it made me think...

Wow! This thread is way cooler now that we're talking about our shocking work stories.

Once, changing ballasts in an elevator I shocked myself off a ladder. Another time, changing light switches to timer knobs in a storage facility, hot!, zzaaaaaaaaaaaaap. Happened a lot that day, it did. Happened right here in this building. Sho did!

Blat, slim, others who might know. If I want to put in an outlet mid run of a circuit, do I have to use a metal box so I can pigtail the grounds back to the box? Or is it cool to just pass the grounds thru? Gonna power a thermostat/heat lamp combo at the mid run outlet, I think the fridge or maybe just a dual outlet is on the other end. Cheers.

i was trouble shooting FAA lights on a windfarm, the lights were wired incorrectly, my finger bumped into the grounding bus bar up top and WHACK.

me- "hey i just got lit up dude, you sure that breaker is off?"
ground guy- "yeah man, its all off let me check something out here though...BAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

he got hit harder i guess, said it felt like shit, his pinky was twitching for a couple minutes it was so bad. ive heard of people having to go to the hospital because of burns so bad they open up holes in your fingers and your fat starts oozing out of your fingers...ugh.

the dumbasses ran the current backwards through the ground, so when i bumped into the ground. BIZZZZAATTT.
