After all these years you still look like a Cabbage Patch Kid.

Actually you'd make a cool Garbage Pail Kid. "Roidy Rodney". You'd be all hyper-inflated with muscle climbing a boulder with bloody finger nubs.

That'd be sweet.

GoPro Studio. It's free and easy to use but kinda limited in what you can do with it.

Editing can be tricky but make as many videos as you can and it'll come. Making shitty videos is a blast. I love to watch videos I made from years past and it's always cool to see what I was doing and what music I was jamming to. My process is pretty simple.

First, I watch the raw clips to a bunch of different songs to see what best fits the tempo and mood of the footage. Then I edit the clips to the song generally splicing on the beat. Also, and this can be tricky, try to adjust the song so that the best point in the song matches the best point in the video. Hit that crux hold on the nasty beat drop duh. Throw in a close-up or slow-mo shot to further burn the image of that wicked crux snag into the viewers brain. I cut everything that's not action. No one wants to watch someone adjust their hands on the start holds for 30 seconds or even 3 seconds. Throw in a scenery shot. Throw in a shot of something funny. Throw in a shot of something artsy. Throw that shit in in between problems to transition that shit. Correct the lighting and framing rule of thirds and all that shit. Badda bing badda bang. You got a video.

I liked the vid, but wouldn't mind if he edited out the farm animal grunts. I pity his girlfriend and his neighbors.

One has to think about the commute, gas station attendants, local ethics and standards. Plus, bugs don 't bite through blue jeans. dress well for your first ascent.

I can climb in jeans. Shit, I can send in anything. Even Madrocks and dress pants.

I'm a Dickies guy but have been rocking the carpenter pant lately. Throwback 90s Old Navy look. Rugged. Roomy. A solid pant.
