there is this thing called snow.
it often is an obstacle, here, at high elevation.
i have never driven or owned an AWD automobile, but Audi and Subaru are the most popular
cars in SLC. everybody else drives a 4x4 truck.

on the traction thing, my honey drives an awd car with studded tires, and it's like a little tank. on icy or snow packed roads i feel safer in that than in the truck. but when there's slush or drifting snow the heavier vehicle with bigger tires is steadier. i know guys who have studded tires on their trucks too, but sooo expensive.

7,000 vs. 4,000, tard. You can't even see as high as I be.
I was more bragging that I never have to worry if my rig is truck enough. Unless I'm going uphill or towing. Then it is decidedly SLUG.
