I've been outside the country fro like 2 years. Anyone know which cellular prepaid plans are best? I used to just use those go-phones.

I'll mostly be using the cell on a limited basis. Like a number for my resume, short calls for friends and stuff like that. Go phone style? or Verizon, ATT, etc?

I had a prepaid phone once, total gyp. best to just suck it up and start a regular plan... way less expensive in the long run.

Speaking of cell phones: I'm about to upgrade. I tend to break things, especially if they're expensive; can any of you recommend a fairly durable smartphone that I can get with AT&T?

elblat turned me on to the otter box case for my blackberry curve. effing bombproof. ive tossed the phone onto concrete to demonstrate to people's horror. turns it into a large brick, but it is available in submarine yellow.
