Question, what bouldering area could have more potential than Hueco, fewer access issues, unbelievably perfect granite highballs around every bend, and is located only two hours from LA?

Bishop you say? NO. Black Mt.

Hueco is 2 square miles or somethin and already highly developed. Sure there's stuff left to do, but at Black there's an antire mountain chain to drive and hike around. I mean it is literally endless. Say what you will, I smell bishes have no clue syndrome.

pff

there are definitely access issues at black mountain if you climb there legitimately. you're supposed to drive all the way to fucking idylwild every day for a parking pass (there is no weekly pass), or you get parking tickets... and don't even think about camping somewhere free in a national forest. get in that campground, pay your fee, and have no solitude, or get FINED.

also, there are like 3 roofs at all of black mountain??

i like the place, but it's not even comparable to hueco. apples -> oranges.

I guess the adventure pass sucks. I haven't bought one yet. Also Pander, there are sooo many roofs. I'm not talking about Boulder Basin. I'm talkin about the miriad other spots all over the mountain. The republic, the chappies, ymca camp, group sites, and more and more. STFU, I will try to post more pics later, but you're out of your mind if you don't think that shit looks good. Anyway, I'm not saying it's better or the new Hueco or any of that shit. I just said there is more potential for future development. Plus I love Hueco roofs. Be there end of Jan and am so psyched.

When you are stuck living there, as I am now so I can afford to go to Hueco later, it is a very good thing.

you know Black mt is just now getting the attention that Hueco has had focussed on it since the 80's.

That dude in your pictures was working on the first attempt at a complete guide when me and kix were there last summer. It's at a full hype climax, blowing up huge. All it needs now is some article comparing it to the late great Hueco tanks, and it'll be an international destination.

Hueco's the rocky balboa of bouldering areas and it's the down for the count years I enjoy most.

I will be more than happy to tell all the local gym rats with jobs about it. They will touron the fuck out of your quiet little bouldering mecca. Especially with a guide.
