Just had a tour of Pisco cocktails and a mindblowing risotto de camarones in Lima for less then 40 euro.

There is a bolder here I am trying to get to but dammit if the consolation prize isn't just as enticing.

how it is possible to "close" a boulder is beyond me.

self-regulation within a community is one thing, as in, say, let's not scrub that rare lichen or climb into a raven's nest. claiming proprietary advantage over a boulder though seems like a misplaced ethic and unjust claim.

maybe if you put that boulder there, you can say who climbs it or not; but otherwise consent not to climb is a right not cheerfully surrendered.

ate warm cheese in phyllo pastry and a few shrimp tonight.

World travelers suck. It's another Lean Cuisine kind of night here. Mushroom Mezzaluna, yo.

ate an a&w uncle burger in the truck, and drank most of the soft drink there also. i went back for the onion rings in the snowy dark, making the mission back up to the driveway for a late night snack.

a good butcher in the neighbourhood is a sign of civilization.

i have been cutting up deer, mostly with an axe, to feed to pups. one gets a sense of why originally the butcher would have also been the priest, cutting nature at the joints.

future project- backyard smoker.
